Could American be susceptible to fascism?

Nationalism, a strong military, even under tough economic times, disdain for the recognition of human rights (the patriot act), scapegoats for a unifying cause (the terrorists), sexism (abortion, homosexual, and divorce rights restricted), controlled mass media (censorship during wartime and regulation of media), obsession with National Security, Religion and Government are intertwined, corporate power is protected (corporate welfare anyone?), labor power is suppressed or destroyed (does Wisconsin ring a bell?), disdain for intellectuals and the arts, obsession with crime and punishment (the war on crime and drugs), rampant cronyism and corruption (lobbyists and others), and fraudulent elections (the electoral college) are all signs of Fascism, and they are all aspects of the America.
