Anyone know anything about dyeing hair after using ColourB4?

My sister stripped a red dye from her hair and put a brown permanent one in straight after, she said that the colour didn't take at all after she stripped it and waited another 2 weeks before trying again , it worked the second time so just try and live with the orangey tinge for a week or two!
